The award-winning, genre-busting RADAR Festival is proud to unveil its final headliner for the 2025 edition, plus a further six world-beating acts, alongside day splits and afterparties.
Joining the previously-announced headliners, darkwave heavyweight Carpenter Brut and metalcore legends UNDERØATH, are the unbeatable Bob Vylan.
Also in today's announcement:
Vukovi
As December Falls
Dream State
Lastelle
Shelf Lives
Artio
Each day will continue long into the night, with the addition of two incredible afterparty acts: unique French electronic musician The Algorithm will perform a DJ set on the Friday, and The 900, the famed Tony Hawk Pro Skater cover band, will close the festival on Sunday. The final afterparty is still TBA.
Co-founder and co-organiser of RADAR, Catherine Jackson-Smith, comments: "Our final headliner is the unstoppable Bob Vylan. 2025 feels like a time of uncertainty when many communities we belong to or guardian feel uneasy. There’s a choice: to carry on passively or to stand up and speak out. Few bands in today’s music scene do this as powerfully and unapologetically as Bob Vylan. With razor-sharp lyricism and an electrifying live show, they don’t just perform—they provoke, challenge, and inspire. Their music is a rallying cry, embodying the same passion and urgency that we at RADAR stand for in these climates. This isn’t just music; this is a movement, and it’s personal.
"Added to the bands announced today are those that we’ve admired for years, VUKOVI. I’ve been a fan of them for a long time, so to bring them to the RADAR stage is a booking that has put the cherry on the top for me. This year is going to be fun."

RADAR - the UK's most exciting new progressive music festival - moved to Manchester for its 2023 edition, the third iteration of the festival.
RADAR pride themselves on providing a first home for the best international artists - previous years have seen Dirty Loops' (2022) and The Callous Daoboys' (2023) first UK shows.
Joining the list were RADAR 2024's Friday headliners - synth royalty The Midnight, making their UK festival debut. Accompanying them were Saturday headliners TesseracT, as the UK prog metal titans delivered a special War Of Being album set. Finally, closing the festival on Sunday, modern progressive titans Leprous performed a world-first live, by request fan set.
RADAR 2023 saw Friday headliners Sleep Token joining Periphery (Sunday) and Igorrr (Saturday) among a host of the best from the UK and global progressive underground.
RADAR capped their intensely impressive 2022 by winning the Best New Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards on 6th December in Manchester, and were shortlisted for Best Small Festival and Best Metropolitan Festival at 2023 and 2024's UK Festival Awards.
With their mixture of international talent and confirmed homegrown success, RADAR Festival has already positioned themselves as a champion of forward-thinking, guitar-led progressive music. No genre boundaries, welcome to all, RADAR Festival was launched in 2019 to acclaim, with performances from Animals As Leaders, Agent Fresco, Rolo Tomassi, among others. Following the COVID hiatus, RADAR Festival 2022 expanded to three days with triumphant appearances from Leprous, Haken, Dirty Loops, Plini, Conjurer, Soen and more.
RADAR Festival is all about pushing boundaries - this year introducing fresh genres to the line-up and stages - and this is just the beginning.

'Serpentine' is the latest single from South Carolina USA metal/hardcore outfit Your Spirit Dies. The track comes by way of the band’s crushing My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest debut, set for release on 2nd May via MNRK Heavy, and features a guest appearance by vocalist Dan Weyandt of Zao.
Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/pd7DviYhZVE
Pre-order the album here: https://yourspiritdies.ffm.to/mygnawingpainswillneverrest
Comments vocalist Brandon Byars, “‘Serpentine’ ended up being one of the last tracks we put together for the record. We were running two writing stations simultaneously - [guitarist] Tyler [Dorman] was writing these fast, aggressive d-beat riffs while [guitarist] Holden [Hall] brought some ideas that he had written previously. From there, we all dug in with [producer] Greg [Thomas] to refine it further. I think the song really captures the essence of the album, showcasing a lot of the sounds that define it.
“Lyrically, it's something everyone can relate to. Almost everyone has had to deal with someone who’s got narcissistic tendencies, and, in some cases, you've had to walk away - whether it’s a relationship, friendship, or otherwise. I think the lyrics illustrate the sense of catharsis you get from finally ‘cutting the cord’ with those kinds of people.”
On having Weyandt on the track, Byars further shares, “It’s been awesome getting to know Dan over the last few years. Considering our name literally came from a Zao song, we thought our full circle moment was getting to tour with them, but to have his voice and face featured in a piece of our art is somehow even bigger than that. He did an amazing job and I think it elevates the song even further for it. A huge gratitude goes to him.”
Across small towns in America, untold stories are waiting to be heard and Columbia, South Carolina’s state capital, is no different. With just over 140K residents, the city may be small but it pulses with an undeniable spirit. Your Spirit Dies taps into that raw, resilient energy, channeling the heart of an underdog and an unyielding drive. After gaining nationwide attention and praise from outlets like Brooklyn Vegan, No Echo and more, the band tells their story with their debut album My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest.
“The record encapsulates every single thing we’re about,” notes Byars. “We’re five people who were born in small towns in the South. We were never supposed to leave these places; we were ‘supposed’ to live and die here. For us, the simple fact we’re doing this is huge. We tried to craft an album that stands on its own, and we busted our asses to make it as different as we possibly could.”
My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest is a defining leap forward for Your Spirit Dies, with standout tracks featuring collaborations from some of the scene’s fiercest voices. Dan Weyandt of Zao brings his raw energy to 'Serpentine', while Blaythe Steuer of No Cure joins the band on 'A Snow In Summer'. Carson Pace of The Callous Daoboys makes an impact on the intense 'Night Pierces My Bones' adding another layer of power to this already crushing album.
With their debut full-length Your Spirit Dies continue to refine their unique approach to emotionally charged metalcore. The album offers a raw and introspective look at personal struggles, spiritual questioning and the weight of loss. As they evolve, the band is steadily establishing themselves as a significant force within the metal scene, with My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest setting the stage for even greater things to come.

UK technical metalcore outfit Hands of Attrition have unveiled a brand new single 'For You'. Mixed and mastered by Justin Hill (SikTh), 'For You' is a deeply emotional yet powerful metal track that explores the torment of addiction, and the desperate need for external validation.
Watch the video for 'For You' here: https://youtu.be/6iCIj13AWOY
Stream 'For You' here: https://linktr.ee/handsofattrition
The band comment: "We poured everything into 'For You', a crushing track about addiction, regret, and the weight of our own choices. This song is raw, real, and brutally honest. “For You" is one of the most intense tracks we’ve written—drenched in emotion, driven by chaos, and fuelled by the battle between self-destruction and redemption, blaming your actions on the need for external validation.
“This song is a reflection of struggle and pain, wrapped in crushing riffs and haunting melodies. 'For You' is the sound of hitting rock bottom and questioning if there’s a way back. For you explores the idea that although one may be lost within addiction, the only way the protagonist can see a way out is if they fix themselves "for you".
"'For You' is us at our most vulnerable and aggressive, a storm of emotion, pounding rhythms, and lyrics that cut deep into the fight against addiction and regret.
"We wrote 'For You' to capture the feeling of being lost in a cycle of self-destruction. It’s heavy, emotional, and brutally honest, one of the most intense songs we’ve ever created as a band. The outpour of emotions from the protagonist shows how hard it is to battle addiction.
"The track reveals the bittersweet truth; that one's self-destruction stems from external validation and not self-preservation."
'For You' is the third new single from the band since the release of their debut album, Colder Places (2020) following the tracks 'Consecrate' and 'Shrouded in Silence'.
A relentless and deeply introspective journey, debut album Colder Places firmly established Hands of Attrition as an exciting new force in UK metal. With tracks like 'Consumed' and 'Threadbare', the album captures the darkness of trauma while offering a glimpse of resilience and hope.
Hailing from the birthplace of heavy metal, Birmingham, UK, Hands of Attrition are a force to be reckoned with. Their signature sound, dubbed "GrooveCore," fuses bone-crushing riffs, haunting melodies, and powerful, emotive choruses that leave a lasting impact. Since their formation in 2018, the band has carved a path through the metal scene, delivering hard-hitting, thought-provoking music that resonates with audiences worldwide.
Hands of Attrition are a commanding presence on stage, delivering an unrelenting wall of sound that captivates and engages fans. With a tight, precise, and dynamic live performance, the band has solidified their reputation as a must-see act in the UK metal scene.

Dublin-born, London-based Tayne recently dropped their highly anticipated debut album Love via MNRK Heavy / Inside Job. A fearless fusion of metal, industrial, shoegaze and pop, Love is an electrifying sonic journey that pushes the boundaries of the genre.
Today, Tayne released a new live video, performing at the South East London recording studio, The Bookhouse.
The video can be watched here: https://youtu.be/21syVTiLV9s
Love can still be ordered here: https://insidejob.lnk.to/TayneLOVE
Love showcases Tayne at their boldest, blending ferocious energy with genre defying exploration. The album includes 'Fear', anthemic enough for stadiums, featuring a blistering guest appearance from Rolo Tomassi’s James Spence; 'In This Trend', an industrial dancefloor monster that could easily tear through the walls of Berghain; and 'Wasted', a brutal, mechanical explosion channelling the raw power of Ministry and Fear Factory, while struggling to find peace in the chaos.
“'Wasted' is all about lust,” explains Matt. “It’s about getting swept up in those intense feelings, confusing them for something more meaningful, and then stripping it all away to expose the mess it leaves behind.”
Love is co-produced by Tayne & longtime collaborator Wayne Adams (Green Lung, Pet Brick), one of a number of collaborations with artists as diverse as Jesu, Cage Fight, Rolo Tomassi, Mastiff, Katie Kim & Poisonous Birds with Tayne supporting the likes of HEALTH, Author & Punisher and The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Greg Puciato.
Tayne have been announced for 2000 Trees & ArcTanGent festivals alongside fellow countrymen Kneecap, Taking Back Sunday, Rolo Tomassi, The Melvins, Between The Buried And Me, The Fall of Troy & more.
Tayne are also throwing an unforgettable album release party at Camden’s iconic Black Heart on Wednesday, 5th February, the true home of heavy metal. Celebrate Love with the band as they bring their fierce energy to the stage, while LD’s Kitchen serves up Tayne inspired vegan dishes and custom cocktails to fuel the night. This release captures Couch Slut’s signature grit and raw emotional power — a sound both unrelenting and deeply cathartic.

Couch Slut have played a veritable strain of drug-fuelled, incendiary, hardcore noise rock since 2013. Led by Megan Osztrosits' infernal roar and subversive, vitriolic lyrics, the quintet return with their fourth full-length opus You Could Do It Tonight (19th April, Brutal Panda Records).
Recorded amidst the filth of NYC with Uniform's Ben Greenberg (Drab Majesty, Portrayal of Guilt, Metz), and mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis Studios in London (Blur, Nick Cave, Thom Yorke), Couch Slut subvert the paradigm and up the ante in every imaginable way across nine vignettes of perverse, true-to-life storytelling layered over the band's singular, dragged-through-the-mud songcraft. This is a depraved style of noise rock that will scare the living sh*t out of you. Guest appearances from members of fellow NYC compatriots Imperial Triumphant and Pyrrhon scatter across the album, adding layers of cacophony.
With ten full years of pain and suffering under their proverbial belt, along with three prior full-length albums My Life As A Woman (2014), Contempt (2017), and Take A Chance On Rock ‘n’ Roll (2020), Couch Slut sound more urgent, threatening, nasty and despondent than ever with You Could Do It Tonight.
Couch Slut are:
Dylan DiLella – guitar
Kevin Hall – bass, shehnai, granular synthesizer
Amy Mills – guitar, flute, trumpet
Theo Nobel – drums and percussion, synthesizer, bells
Megan Osztrosits – vocals

Fast emerging tech-metalcore band Eschalon have released their new single / video, 'Denial', featuring a special guest performance from vocalist Ashe O'Hara.
Produced by Jake Ten and staring model Purplemuffinz, watch the 'Denial' video here: https://youtu.be/s1o1yiVCACw
Wade into the haunting melody of 'Denial' – a captivating exploration of love twisted by narcissism, obsession, and control. This track blends haunting themes with a manic undercurrent, tracing the narrator’s descent into a toxic cycle of fixation and resentment after the collapse of a relationship.
The band comment: "Lyrically, 'Denial' delves into the refusal of rejection, where obsessive and egotistical tendencies clash with seething rage and bitter regret. The narrator struggles to reconcile their possessive behaviours with the devastation they've caused, projecting blame while carrying the burden of their own faults. As the song unfolds, moments of self-awareness punctuate the delusion, revealing the internal war between compulsion and accountability.
"Musically, 'Denial' strikes a delicate balance between manic intensity and melodic nuance, mirroring the push-and-pull of obsession and introspection. Its delicate melodies intertwine with dark, chaotic passages, underscoring the volatility of the emotions at play.
"'Denial' is a raw portrayal of love turned venomous—a powerful narrative of fixation, control, and the desperate search for redemption amid the wreckage of a broken relationship. It’s a poignant reminder of the destructive force of denial and the toll it takes on both the heart and the mind."
Catch the band on the following dates:

Stellar new UK alt-shoegaze group OVERSIZE have released their debut album Vital Signs, out now via SharpTone.
Purchase here: https://bfan.link/vital-signs-1
In celebration of the news, the band have also released a visualiser for their focus track 'Are You With Me?'. Watch: https://youtu.be/ewxUJQB82_k
The band comment: "It feels very surreal to finally be releasing our debut full-length. Pretty much since the start of the band we knew we wanted to be an ‘album band’. Even through we had released two EPs previously we’ve always had enough material written to make a full length, so we knew after the second EP it was time to make the jump. Recorded in under two weeks at The Ranch Production House, we closely collaborated with producer Lewis Johns to create something we’re really proud of.
"It was always our aim to write an album where each song has its own identity yet still works holistically as an album, we were really conscious of the album not sounding to ‘samey’ yet the same time not feeling like a playlist of random songs. We’re still so honoured that SharpTone shares our passion and vision for the record and can’t wait for people to finally hear it."
OVERSIZE have already turned the heads of many tastemakers in the UK scene, with rave reviews and rapt attention from NME, Kerrang!, and Dan P. Carter, Alyx Holcombe, and Jack Saunders at BBC R1. In their short time as a band OVERSIZE have already performed at Outbreak Festival, and supported Militarie Gun, Higher Power, Fiddlehead, Boston Manor, and many more.
Although still very much in their infancy, the group - who formed in the South West of England - have already developed a fully-formed, personal sound. Elements of post-hardcore, alternative metal, shoegaze and emo combine to deliriously heady effect. While the band don’t shy away from their love of alternative 90’s music, and a love of HUM, The Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, and Pixies, OVERSIZE have very little interest in being sonically tied to the past.
The bandmembers' shared experience of writing and playing live together has found them carving out their own space within the alternative scene, in just a handful of years. Exploring the vast range of dynamics within their music, songs drift between atmospheric textures to loud fuzzy riffs, magnifying and complimenting the personal and often venerable vocals.

Dark Chapel, the new project fronted by Dario Lorina, guitarist, singer, and producer for Black Label Society (2014-present), have just released their third single / video, 'Corpse Flower'. The track is taken from Dark Chapel's debut album, Spirit in the Glass, out today via MNRK Heavy.
Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/blIdNmYEubo
Purchase / stream the album here: https://darkchapel.ffm.to/spiritintheglass
The band’s airtight guitar-craft and sludgy grooves with magnetic melodies, bluesy phrasing, and grunge mystique are spotlighted on their highly anticipated debut album, Spirit in The Glass.
The wild riffing of 'Corpse Flower' blooms through a head-nodding swing, and Dario Lorina’s vocals boom. “When I was writing the lyrics for ‘Corpse Flower,’” he explains, “I was envisioning an imagery, very similar to the artwork that became the single art, of an ominous field of mostly dead flowers with one living and towering over as almost a beacon of or a portal to the underworld, representing immortality.”
As Lorina continues, “I put my heart and soul into Dark Chapel’s debut Spirit in The Glass, as did all involved in the making of it. There’s a lot on this album from my roots of guitar-driven heavy rock to intimate piano and acoustic, singer/songwriter style songs. I’m elated for listeners to hear it in full.”
The album’s first single, 'Glass Heart,' was released last September on all digital outlets, and a video for the song can be seen on the band’s official YouTube page (which currently has over 90k views). 'Hollow Smile,' the album’s second single, was released 17th January, and the video, directed by Justin H. Reich (Black Label Society, Ace Frehley, Rex Brown), can be seen on the band’s official YouTube page (which currently has over 80k views).
In an early album review in Fireworks Magazine (U.K.), Dave Cockett called Spirit in The Glass "A pulsating debut that perfectly balances smoldering riffs and groove-laden melodies..." While IM-Musicmagazine.com declared, “(Dario) Lorina’s new band, Dark Chapel, doesn’t just drop an album—they detonate it…With grin-inducing riffs, raspy, signature vocal style, and a perfect blend of aggression, soul, and a touch of grunge, Dark Chapel’s Spirit in the Glass is more than just a debut - it’s an announcement. Lorina’s new band is here to shake up the hard rock scene, kick ass, and Spirit in the Glass is an absolute must-listen.”
Striking an elusive balance between dark and heavy, ethereal and passionate, Spirit in The Glass is as Lorina describes, “a culmination of all artistic influence, whether musical or otherwise.”
Dario Lorina began his professional career in 2006 at age 16 as the touring guitarist with the late Jani Lane (ex-Warrant). At age 19, he joined veteran metal act Lizzy Borden, whom he toured with for four years. Dario released two instrumental records with Mike Varney on Shrapnel Records in 2013 and 2017 titled Dario Lorina and Death Grip Tribulations. He joined Black Label Society on 1st January 2014, and has since been touring worldwide alongside Zakk Wylde, performing on guitar, piano, and backing vocals. Dario dueled solos with Zakk Wylde on Black Label Society's 2022 release Doom Crew Inc. and joined him on the January 2022 cover of Guitar World Magazine.
