zebrahead are back with their brand new single 'No Tomorrow'. The punk-inspired rock outfit have been busy since the addition of their new singer/guitarist Adrian Estrella. Having played shows across the globe with studio sessions in between, the band are set to roll out an onslaught of new music over the next twelve months, including their new EP II which is due for release on 3rd February 2023.

Bassist Ben Osmundson comments:
"Super excited for the world to hear 'No Tomorrow'. It’s been a rough few years and it is now time to cut loose and hopefully have some fun. A song about enjoying the moment and cherishing everything in our lives...whether it is good for us or not."
Estrella adds: "Act young, grow old, never take yourself too seriously and never forget, life is short so make the most of it! This song is about that!"
In late 2021 a renewed fire was ignited within zebrahead and from a long, one-day creative session came a series of EPs: III, II and I. 'No Tomorrow' will be followed by monthly song releases that culminate with the band's II EP in February 2023. II is the follow-up to zebrahead's III EP, which was released in 2021. Their I EP is expected to drop in late autumn 2023, with singles and videos serving as a glimpse in between.
Since their incarnation, zebrahead have sold over 2.5 million albums and currently have over one million monthly listeners on Spotify. They have survived label changes, earned a Grammy nomination, and toured across the globe.
zebrahead will appear at Slam Dunk Festival and When We Were Young Festival in 2023. Head to the band's website for full tour dates: https://zebrahead.com/tour-dates/

Polar have announced their new album Everywhere, Everything, due for release on 13th January 2023 via Arising Empire.
To celebrate the quartet have released a video for their new single, 'Burn'.
Check out the video for 'Burn' here: https://youtu.be/V7shwOe7lGQ
Pre-order Everywhere, Everything here: https://arisingempire.com/everywhereeverything
Vocalist Adam Woodford comments on the single:
"We started creating ‘Burn’ pre-pandemic and this was the first song we had written together as the current line-up - then, the pandemic took over. Just like everyone else’s lives our spun into chaos and confusion, we felt immense pressure of whether the band would still have its place. We navigated how to create music while being isolated and individually each of us wrestled with our own mental health, but one thing rang clear - that we we’re going to survive whatever we faced in front us. Once ‘Burn’ took shape, we felt the energy and drive the song has would work perfectly with a lyrical idea about the burning desire to push even harder, both personally and as band. That our flame was brighter than ever and not burning out. That flame is burning brighter than ever in the form of ‘Burn’."
At the beginning of 2020, the music world came to an abrupt stop. For Polar, that meant a conclusive end to their unfinished tour alongside After The Burial, Spiritbox and Make Them Suffer, following their 2019 acclaimed album Nova.
Filled with a sense of uncertainty in a world turned upside down, Polar (Adam Woodford, Fabian Lomas, Gav Thane and Noah See) took to work on brand new material, with lyrics that delve deep within the self and a sound that treads new, experimental grounds.
Now armed with their hard-hitting new album, Polar are raring to take to the stage, after years of musical and personal growth behind the scenes.

On the upcoming full-length album, the band comment:
"We are very excited to present our latest, self-titled, full-length album. For us this is a culmination of a lot of work, building and evolving. We bring back a lot of the heavier elements from our older releases while keeping a lot of the aesthetics and layers from Triptych. As musicians we have always struggled with where to place ourselves amongst our peers and always written music we wanted to make over intentionally fitting into existing trends. We feel that this album is by far our most accomplished and self-assured record to date, reincorporating harsh vocals while exploring new territory on the guitar side of things."

Our new record is set for an 14th October release, which we feel is easily our best work to date drawing influence from our entire back catalogue of music into the most refined, truest version of EXIM. This London show will be the official launch party of the new album and we are so excited that this show and iconic venue will be the very first time this new era is brought into the world."

New York-based pop-punk trio Young Culture have released a video for their new single 'Whiskey'. The track is taken from the band's upcoming album You Had To Be There, due for release on 11th November via Rude Records (UK/EU) / Equal Vision Records (ROW).
Check out the video for 'Whiskey' here: https://youtu.be/ezHY7w-8Eos
Stream 'Whiskey' here: https://youngculture.lnk.to/whiskey
A track about the pains of missing someone, 'Whiskey' is a plaintive, country-leaning ballad that, for a moment on their upcoming album, parts ways with the band’s fiery brand of uplifting pop-punk. The single is yet another reason why You Had To Be There is shaping up to be one of the most exciting rock records of 2022.
The band comment:
“Young Culture have always been about making the most of your life, taking advantage of those good times, so come and do that with us. You’ll find us connecting with our pop-punk roots but with a new, refreshing aim. Short, sweet and to the point as we like to do it, but packed full of memorable moments. If you’re missing out on the YC bandwagon, sorry, I can’t explain this one to you, I guess You Had To Be There.”
Recorded in Toronto with Anton DeLost (State Champs, Silverstein, Mayday Parade), it feels like the trio - vocalist Alex Magnan and guitarists Gabe Pietrafesa and Troy Burchett - are coming down from the lovestruck high of a year ago, marked by the band’s Godspeed EP. Although similarly dramatic with catchy surges of unabashed emotion, You Had To Be There features a melancholic rush of high-octane energy with shadows that lurk within the foundations.
You Had To Be There builds on the foundations Young Culture have laid down since their formation in 2016. It’s an album that defies the classic - and often true - notion of the difficult second record. This was anything but. What’s more, you can hear just how much freedom, joy, exuberance and fun was involved in the process of putting it all together. Due to the pandemic, Young Culture didn’t have a fair go at releasing and touring their first album, but You Had To Be There acts as another shot. It very much feels like a true stamp of Young Culture, both in terms of where they’re at now and what they want for the future.
This is a record about making the most of now, of living in the present and having as much fun as possible, whatever you or the world are going through. From the smooth and polished pop of opener 'Not In Love' and the hybrid pop-punk of 'Kinda Over It' - both songs about finding solace in the company of someone else, if only for one night - to the joyous, emphatic and triumphant strains of 'We’re On Fire' and the forlorn but still defiant nature of 'Know Better'.
Musically, it’s also an unashamed nod to all the genres and bands that the trio love. On 'Tattoo', for example, the band reference listening to Backstreet Boys, the same way they mentioned listening to Britney Spears on 'Hum'. There are no concerns whatsoever that it might not be cool within the pop-punk scene, and nor should there be. In fact, it’s precisely that unbridled passion and unfiltered enthusiasm that makes You Had To Be There stand out.
It’s done in such a way, however, that Young Culture are also looking forward to what’s next - both in the near future and the grand scheme of things - and are doing so with extra confidence. That’s something wholeheartedly reflected throughout the entire album, musically and lyrically, from the very first note to the very last.
“I really think this is something that you don’t want to miss out on,” Magnan says. “I feel like it’s the sound of us coming into our own and making a record that is the most Young Culture thing ever. We were the most excited we’ve ever been to make the music on this album.”
Young Culture have also announced a co-headline tour with Super American, as well as dates supporting State Champs during October and November. Head to the band's website for full dates and tickets: https://www.youngcultureshop.com/tour

Borders combine ferocious, hard-hitting metalcore with elements of hip-hop, grime, hardcore and alternative metal, completed with a dash of introspection and brazen, no-holds-barred atmosphere. The quartet are a young but driven collective hellbent on taking the heavy music community by storm with an onslaught of thought-provoking, sinister and brutally aggressive tracks. Built around an impetus that obliterates any notion of single-genre classification in favour of an immersive yet punishingly heavy experience, Borders continually push the limits of what's expected from any band in the metalcore circuit.
From taking the UK’s live music scene by storm supporting legendary deathcore act Martyr Defiled on their last run to their immersive, conceptual and thought-provoking 2019 debut full length release Purify, the band are well on their way to making themselves a staple in the underground heavy music community - a goal sure to be achieved with their addition to Arising Empire’s ever-growing roster.

Next year marks three decades since the release of Life of Agony's critically acclaimed and game-changing debut album, River Runs Red, on Roadrunner Records, and the group are celebrating this milestone with a 2023 world tour.
The first leg of Life of Agony’s 30 Years of River Runs Red tour kicks off in Europe with dates starting on Friday 13th January in Bochum, Germany and ending in Milton Keynes, England on 11th February. Main support will be fellow New York veterans Prong (EU) and Madball (UK), with rock duo Tarah Who? opening all dates.
Tickets are now available here: http://www.lifeofagony.com. More territories will be announced shortly.
“River Runs Red was an album that helped so many people get through some really dark times,” explains Life of Agony bassist Alan Robert. “It was raw, heavy, and extremely emotional when it dropped back in ’93. We had no idea the impact it would have on that generation, let alone being able to see it have such longevity three decades later. It is a complete honor and full circle experience for us to celebrate this moment with our longtime friends Prong and Madball, who were both there in the very beginning of the band’s history.”

Earlier this year, Life of Agony’s full-length documentary The Sound of Scars, directed by Leigh Brooks, was praised by fans as well as the media for taking a deep and personal look into the band members' lives. Stories of domestic violence, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation came out through introspective interviews with the musicians themselves and their respective families. Kerrang raved about its “unflinching” take on family with a 5-star review and the BBC’s Jennie Kermode called it “a highly accomplished piece of work… a story full of pain and struggle.” The film is available for purchase or rent on multiple streaming platforms and is out now as a collector’s edition BluRay through Raven Banner Entertainment. ABOUT POWERWOLF:
The story of POWERWOLF, beginning in 2004, reads like a true fairytale, but is the result of the most hard-working and entertaining live band on the heavy metal planet. POWERWOLF has not only received plenty of Gold and Platinum awards to date, but numerous releases have entered the official German album charts at the top position of #1. With Blessed & Possessed (2015), POWERWOLF achieved Gold status (in the Czech Republic) for the first time, while its predecessor, Preachers Of The Night (2013), hit the official German album charts at #1, and the incredible DVD, The Metal Mass (2016), came in at #1 of the German DVD-Charts. POWERWOLF's holy mass in the name of heavy metal is unstoppable – their latest magnum opus, The Sacrament of Sin (2018), again entered the album charts at #1. The accompanying, almost completely sold out Wolfsnächte headline tour – in which POWERWOLF headlined large venues with their phenomenal stage performances – became a single major triumph, as well as the numerous summer festival shows in which crowds were thrilled and completely captivated by the Wolves and their unique, (un)holy metal mass. With the new studio album, Call Of The Wild, and the Wolfsnächte 2021 tour charging through the largest halls in Europe, 2021 will again be a year completely under the sign of the wolf pack.

About UK Tech-Fest:
Following the huge success of the first UK Tech-Fest selling out in 2012, the festival went outdoors in 2013 hosting headliners Scar Symmetry, Veil Of Maya and TesseracT. 2014 saw UK Tech-Fest move to the prestigious Newark Showground hosting Sikth's second show after their reunion, and the following year UK Tech-Fest 2015 hosted an exclusive UK appearance from Decapitated. UK Tech-Fest 2016 - The Fifth Anniversary - was a milestone in this festival's career, by far their biggest and best edition to date hosting Animals As Leaders and exclusive appearances from Between The Buried And Me and Protest The Hero. UK Tech-Fest 2017 had its heaviest line-up to date, 2018 & 2019 had the festival's largest ever attendances, and a triumphant return post-covid in 2022 solidified its reputation as the UK's most forward-thinking metal festival.
Canadian technical death metal trio Obvurt return with new album Triumph Beyond Adversity, due to be released via Unique Leader on 2nd December.
Alongside the announcement the band have released a new music video for the album's first single, 'Invisible Enemy'.
Watch the new video here: https://youtu.be/iGMK4OuQCds
Pre-order/pre-save the album here: https://orcd.co/triumphbeyondadversity
Obvurt, an amalgamation of the words obvert (to oppose) and hurt (to wound), was created in 2020 as a solo project by Philippe Drouin (ex-Unbreakable Hatred) and remains a compelling lesson in human spirit and perseverance. After being involved in a car accident in 2016, Drouin found himself unable to play guitar, as he could no longer pick due to a severe injury to his right hand. Rather than abandoning the instrument he’d been playing for 15 years, Drouin taught himself to play left-handed, it took three years and an estimated 7,000 hours of practice, under the tutelage of famously ambidextrous shredder, guitar tutor Michael Angelo Batio.
Obvurt's first release, The Beginning (2021) was a concept EP told in six episodes and recorded at Grid Studio in Montreal by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy), featured band members Olivier Pinard (Cattle Decapitation, Cryptopsy) on bass and Samuel Santiago (ex-Gorod, ex-Melechesh, ex-First Fragment) on drums and had a length of slightly over 18 minutes.
Returning in 2022 with their first full-length, Triumph Beyond Adversity, Obvurt offer an intense listen that's not without balance. There are plenty of crushing grooves, technical riffing, blistering drumming, triumphant leads and guttural death growls to be had. Eight tracks of aggressive death metal just fly by, propelled by their own energy and raw strength.
Moving forward lyrically from their previous 2021 EP release The Beginning, which saw Drouin express a lot of his story and feelings from his time in recovery, Triumph Beyond Adversity explores the effects of the global pandemic on the band, right through to looking at the possibility of World War 3 whilst putting a positive spin on the situation, taking strength from perseverance, defiant in the face of adversity.
Obvurt are:
Philippe Drouin: Guitars / vocals
Alexandre Chouinard: Bass
Charleli Arsenault-Tremblay: Drums
