German metalcore quartet MAVIS sign to Arising Empire & release video for new single 'Tortured Land'

German metalcore quartet MAVIS have announced their signing with Arising Empire, alongside a video for their brand new single 'Tortured Land'.

The music video for 'Tortured Land' was filmed in collaboration with Danny Jakov of deadapefilms, encapsulating MAVIS's intense and dynamic performance style. The narrative presents the challenge of confronting inner demons and anxieties, illustrating how facing them alone can magnify the issues and wreak havoc with everything on their path. 

MAVIS are gearing up to release more new music, following their impressive debut EP Shades in 2020.The four-piece blend relentless intensity with poignant, powerful lyrics, all presented with a hint of theatrical flair. The emotional and dynamic vocal delivery of Phil Donay indicates the band’s significant progression from their earlier work, and suggests an intention to raise the stakes even higher.

MAVIS collaborated with Manuel Renner (Senna, CONSVMER, Vicious Rain, The Butcher Sisters) of Überlärm Studios to record, mix and master their new material. Together they crafted a sound that accentuates the band’s melodic yet spirited aspects, while retaining a robust and vibrant energy. In doing so, MAVIS not only demonstrate their ambition to secure a spot among the esteemed bands of their genre, but also affirms their commitment to making a lasting impact.
