Jamie Lenman commented "I wanted to tackle 'The Wave' cos it had that big melodic chorus, but it's also fairly rocking and all I had was my lil home setup, so the only option I had was to go the other way and do it mega quiet. I always enjoy whacking on a ton of harmonies, the way you can build up a huge wall with just your voice - I don't get to do that much with my own stuff so it was a real pleasure to indulge that. I think it came out great, but really it woulda been tough to wreck it with a tune that good. I'll try harder next time!"
On the remix album, InTechnicolour bassist Vlad Matveikov commented: "Overall the idea behind this album is to continue bringing the original Midnight Heavyweight to people's attention, and to get our friends in music to have a hack at their own take of the songs we have written in lockdown, and that are out for everyone to enjoy now."
The single follows the powerfully immersive version of 'Corner Of Time In The World' by Sugar Horse, which also appears on Midnight Heavyweight Remixed. Watch the visualiser here: https://youtu.be/66L4JjAFxII
Also appearing on Midnight Heavyweight Remixed are Bully Lunn, Lambrini Girls, Frauds and God Alone, full track list is below.
