RADAR FESTIVAL to postpone to July 2021 & announces crowdfunder

RADAR Festival has been rescheduled to summer 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To support the festival, a crowdfunder has been launched, which will see 20% of proceeds raised being donated to RADAR's crew.

The new dates of RADAR Festival will be 30th and 31st July 2021, two years on from the highly successful inaugural edition.

The majority of RADAR Festival's already announced line-up will move over to this new date. Bands include: Dirty Loops (debut UK performance), Haken, Sleep Token, Conjurer, and Phoxjaw, and continues to mark this festival as one of the most exciting new music events in the UK. A new main support band will be announced very shortly.

RADAR FESTIVAL organisers comment:

"I’m not sure it will come as a huge surprise that in light of the current global situation we are postponing RADAR Festival 2020, but we held on as long as we could, whilst constantly evaluating the ever evolving situation. The UK Government is pushing steadily to re-open the country, but we just did not feel it was safe to put our event on. 

"Gigs should be packed, in sweaty rooms, people jumping up and down losing their minds to their favourite bands and as it stands we would probably have to seriously reduce our capacity and re-book without any international acts.

"However, looking forward with positivity to 2021, we have launched a crowdfunder - where we will be giving 20% of funds raised to our 2019 crew - with many great rewards (and some to be added!) and we have managed to retain 95% of our lineup with two to be added at a later date.

"2020 sucks, but let’s make 2021 a banger!"

RADAR Festival is held in Guildford, Surrey, on 30-31st July 2021.

With their mixture of international talent and confirmed homegrown success, RADAR Festival position themselves as champions of forward-thinking guitar-led music. Launched in 2019 to acclaim, with performances from Animals As Leaders, Agent Fresco, Rolo Tomassi and more, the new festival is already making a claim as one of the UK's most exciting progressive music events.
